"Steph took this overwhelming college essay process and broke it down into manageable parts. Thanks to her guidance, I actually enjoyed writing my common app essay, something I never thought I would ever say!! Because she is a great listener, she made sure that the best parts of me were reflected in all of my essays. She rocks."

We get the best results from others
not by lighting a fire beneath them
but by building a fire within them.
Our intention is to create authentic essays that capture your essence and captivate admission officers.
Since every child is different, every process varies.
It can look something like this:
We listen to your needs, answer all your questions
We first want a comprehensive understanding of who you are, where you've been, what you've overcome to get to this point, your goals, and your target schools.
Together we will cast a wide net of ideas that capture your many facets and experiences. We consider your personality, style and goals.
Once we have an idea that excites us, we work together to outline each essays. This foundation will be the road map that facilitates your drafts.
The first draft is where you flesh out the outline.
Writing, as they say, is rewriting. We tweak the topic as needed, add additional ideas, look for flow, consistent tone, and any redundancy. We make sure the essay is structurally sound, and layered to reveal many things about you.
Once we come up with a draft that we are both excited about, you ask one or two of your trusted advisors to weigh in. We will consider all feedback together, and only take what we both agree enhances the essay.
This is the final stage. Together we will polish the essays into the final product, one that captures your voice, your essence, your brilliance.
Take a deep breath. The essays reflect you. Congratulations. Submit them to the colleges you see yourself attending. Your university journey has begun!
Stephanie brought great inspiration, knowledge, and order to the college admission application process. She knows how to bring out a student's voice and inspires them to put pen to paper. It was money well spent and we hired her for both our daughter and, year later, our son. I would highly recommend Stephanie as an asset to an otherwise daunting process.
